BOURTZI is the name of the fortress which was built at the entrance of Nafplio port, in 1473 by the Venetians. The Tower and bastions as they are nowadays were built in 1698.
Το Φρούριο (μπούρτζι) στην είσοδο του λιμένα του Ναυπλίου χτίστηκε από τους Ενετούς το 1473. Ο Πύργος με τους προμαχώνες χτίστηκαν το 1698 δίνοντάς του τη σημερινή του μορφή.
